On sharing and synchronizing groupware calendars under android platform

Indeed, the individual work of the members of the group as well as the group work as a whole need the calendar to guide their activity and to meet the deadlines, milestones, deliverables of a project, etc. Additionally the members of the group should be able to work both offline and online, which arises when members of the group use smartphones and can eventually run out of Internet connection from time to time, or simply want to develop some activities locally. In the former case, they should have access to the calendar locally, while in the later case they should access the calendar online, shared by all members of the group. In both cases they should be able to see eventually the same information, namely the local calendars of the members should be synchronized with the group calendar. For the case of smartphones under Android system, one solution could be using the Google calendar, however, that is not easily tailorable to collaborative group work. In this paper we present an analysis, design and implementation of group work calendar that meets several requirements such as 1) sharing among all of members of the group, 2) synchronization among local calendars of members and global group calendar, 3) conflict resolution through a voting system, 4) awareness of changes in the entries (tasks, members, events, etc.) of the calendar and 5) all these requirements under proper privacy, confidentiality and security mechanisms. Implementació d'un algorisme de sincronització de calendari d'esdeveniments en un sistema Android

El projecte consisteix en la implementació d’una aplicació que treballa amb calendaris i la sincronització d’aquests. El nostre software permetrà als usuaris la creació i modificació dels seus propis calendaris que contindran esdeveniments i tasques. Si l’usuari ho desitja podrà compartir certes tasques i esdeveniments amb altres usuaris perquè hi participin i apareguin en els seus calendaris, o directament compartir un calendari sencer. Si un usuari té permisos suficients podrà modificar un esdeveniment o tasca, i aquests canvis es propagaran a tots els usuaris que participin a l’esdeveniment o calendari. 18 Per altra banda, el projecte comptarà amb una fase d’experimentació en la qual s’estudiarà la sincronització d’esdeveniments, tasques i calendaris en diferents situacions i implementacions. Durant l’etapa d’implementació es programaran diversos algorismes per realitzar la sincronització o per modificar lleument alguna de les seves parts, i s’intentarà trobar quins són els més avantatjosos

Tratamiento quirúrgico del Hallux Valgus severo mediante cirugía percutánea. Estudio estadístico de los resultados clínicos, radiológicos y funcionales del tratamiento mediante la colocación de un implante intermetatarsiano

La cirurgia percutània en el tractament del hallux valgus és cada vegada més utilitzada, encara que compta amb limitacions en els casos severs. Es tracta d'un estudi retrospectiu en el qual s'analitzen estadísticament els resultats clínics, radiològics i funcionals del tractament quirúrgic del Hallux Valgus sever mitjançant cirurgia percutània amb la col·locació d'un dispositiu intermetatarsiano. Hi ha una bona correcció de l'angle intermetatarsiano i de l'angle hallux valgus, així com una millora clínica i funcional estadísticament significativa amb la utilització d'aquesta tècnica, sent els seus resultats comparables a aquells obtinguts amb la cirurgia oberta.La cirugía percutánea en el tratamiento del hallux valgus es cada vez más utilizada, aunque cuenta con limitaciones en los casos severos. Se trata de un estudio retrospectivo en el que se analizan estadísticamente los resultados clínicos, radiológicos y funcionales del tratamiento quirúrgico del Hallux Valgus severo mediante cirugía percutánea con la colocación de un dispositivo intermetatarsiano. Existe una buena corrección del ángulo intermetatarsiano y del ángulo hallux valgus , así como una mejoría clínica y funcional estadísticamente significativa con la utilización de esta técnica, siendo sus resultados comparables a aquellos obtenidos con la cirugía abierta

Phenotypic diversity and distinctiveness of the Belltall garlic landrace

Among the Mediterranean horticultural landraces, garlic is one of the crops most threatened by genetic erosion. Due to its sexual sterility and to the incidence of seed-borne diseases, historical varieties have been widely replaced by commercial cultivars. In Catalonia, despite the historical relevance of the crop, solely the Belltall garlic landrace is cultivated for commercial purposes. To assess the genotypic and phenotypic diversity within the Belltall garlic, we evaluated sixteen local accessions and five recognized traditional and modern varieties as controls. Genetic analysis with SSR and InDel markers showed low genetic diversity within the Belltall population, grouping modern and traditional varieties separately. Farmers and consumers were involved in the definition of the landrace ideotype and classified the materials by means of projective mapping. Scant phenotypic diversity was found within the Belltall landrace, which is characterized by its color profile and the small size of bulb and cloves. The Belltall landrace grown outside its area of origin lost the distinctive quality signals that differentiate the landrace from the commercial cultivars (clove appearance), indicating that the high quality of the landrace is under genotype-by-environment effects (i.e. local adaptation). Moreover, the size of the Belltall sowing clove had a strong effect on the harvested bulb size. El Joc de rol com a eina d’aprenentatge

El paradigma de Bolonya i les metodologies actives han possibilitat la incorporació de competències i processos d'avaluació continuada que afavoreixen que l'estudiantat formi part del mateix procés d'aprenentatge. S’ha plantejat la incorporació del joc de rol com a eina de motivació en les assignatures relacionades amb l’àmbit dels materials. Es pretén que un grup d’estudiants adopti el rol d’una empresa d’assessoria en materials, que doni resposta a les necessitats i peticions del professorat, el “client”. La interacció professorat-alumnat és imprescindible i la metodologia proposada ha de garantir una comunicació i una retroacció constants, que alimenti la motivació i que possibiliti un seguiment continu. Successivament es realitzen noves consultes que posen l’alumnat en contacte amb metodologies de caracterització química, física, mecànica i/o microestructural de materials, continguts que s’hauran vist en la part teòrica. A partir de les apreciacions del professorat, es fomenta que els informes de cada encàrrec (tasca) siguin cada vegada més acurats i professionals. El resultat final és un conjunt de protocols (dossier o portfolio) per a la caracterització d’un material, que mostra l’evolució en l’aprenentatge i recull evidències de l’assoliment de competències, i de coneixements, habilitats i actituds, com a base d’una transició de l’àmbit acadèmic al professional.Peer Reviewe
